About Christies
Christies Original Designs
Christie is a talented and passionate jewellery designer, crafter and goldsmith. His passion for jewellery design and manufacturing has led to making personalised handcrafted jewellery for both local and international clients.
He started making jewellery at the young age of 12. He was introduced to a German Designer and goldsmith. After seeing what the designer did, he instantly realized that is what he wanted to do with his life.
He studied Jewellery Design and Distribution at the Durban University of Technology and started to work at a jeweler in Bloemfontein to gain more practical skills and sales techniques.
He worked from his home studio for many years, met clients from all over the country and abroad. He decided to open a shop in Bloemfontein, which was so successful that he could concentrate more on designing.
Christie worked for some of our country’s best jewelers, which inspired him to open Christies in Franschhoek in 2013.
Christies deal and work with Diamonds, Tanzanite and Gemstones from all around the world. He design and create each handcrafted masterpiece for his client, doing each design with a slight new twist to the one before.
The happiness and joy of his clients are his biggest reward.
